La Cocinita's recipes started over 30 years ago in Michoacan Mexico. At that time Alicia was a teenager who would make food for the locals called "La Cena" in front of a house. She would go in the morning to buy the ingredients needed for La Cena and would make a different dish everyday to serve/sell. In 1993-2009, Alicia owned "Alicia's Hot Lunch Truck" that served hundreds of manufacture workers during lunch time and late night. In 2009, the food truck business then turned into a catering business for quinceaneras and weddings while she also worked at a restaurant as the head chef.

In 2015, We decided to make Alicia's dream of owning her own restaurant come true. In 2017, we opened the doors to our first restaurant: LA COCINITA with all of her original recipes from Michoacan Mx. We hope you enjoy our dishes and look forward to the growth of our restaurant with your support.
